Hi All,

I have received an offer from EJ and I am seriously considering taking it and leaping into the industry. I have a few things that are making me hesitant, specifically the new DOL fiduciary rules that are coming into play, which I plan on posting about in a another post to see if I can get some expert insight to this. I look forward to lurking and posting in the forums!

Why would you be worried about the fiduciary standard? Oh...because you're a door to door mutual fund salesman. Gotcha.

And yet you posted this not that long ago:

Has anyone had any luck cold walking? I'm thinking about trying it out but I just don't think it is a good way to make an introduction with people. We have to have clients with $250,000 or more to get paid.

Are you still in the business?

Not that long ago? Is like more than two years ago. No. I just work for a professional ball club.  Shouldn't you polishing your door knocker?

You're with Oakland, correct? What are you doing with them?

Ulairi,
So you were in the business, now you aren't, right? And you talk shit to some person you don't know about the business? The business tried you out and decided you would be better working for a professional ball club. The fuck you doing on here?

There is a lot of bitterness about EJ on this board and I understand why, but if you are able to pick up on things quickly and are a resilient person, you could succeed with them or at least use them as a springboard.

As far as fiduciary standard, if this is what you really want to do then I wouldn't let that stop you from committing to this career. Nobody knows what the hell they are doing about the DOL right now anyway.

Good luck!

I let your wife polish my knocker with her hairy bush.
