Hey there. I'm not licensed, but I'm training to start a new business, and am here to understand the top goals and challenges of small financial firm owners.
I can't help people in an industry whose true challenges I don't understand and am not in touch with, right? So I'm here to understand the top issues, to determine if financial advisors are one of the groups I'll be able to serve best with my skillset. I guess I'll post in another forum once I have access.
Thanks. |

There is only one challenge in this industry. Client acquisition.

Ya but technology ummmm isn't there like an app where it will like sign clients for us?
What, you mean it takes hard work to acquire new clients? And 99% of them will tell me to fuck off? Nvmd, I'll stay at Enterprise. |

Advisors need one thing only. People with $500,000 or more who are ready to invest today. If you can funnel them to them me, I'll pay you.

I understand that client acq. is top priority for this or any business really.
But in this industry, what makes that the most difficult? Lack of a qualified network (friends/family) to build from? Not knowing most effective ways to get (quality) clients quickly or consistently enough? Not being able to get at a particular *type* of client (i.e., that $500k "today" investor)? Not having the time for effective prospecting, due to high admin load? Mindtech, you mentioned a specific client type (tongue-in-cheek, but with some seriousness I'm sure). Really, I've felt that that's the ticket -- that it's not the "getting clients" necessarily, but getting those *HNW clients* to trust you enough to be an easy sell. Is that accurate, or am I way offbase? I think I should post this in a relevant place...

I didn't read the wall of text you posted, but like I said. Bring me clients and I pay you. The details bore me |

Understood. The issue with that thinking is that you'll never consistently get *qualified* clients like that. Keywords "consistent" and "qualified."

Dude we gave you the key challenge. No need to overthink this shit. Advisors will pay big $ for that too.
Please post in the Vendors forum when you actually have something to offer. |
