Nicely done Cyrus.  Only took me eight years to pass all three.

I'll be starting next year, I'll be posting questions about the process in around December.
I sort of give a fuck.

PM me if you have L1 Q's, I am gearing up to start study for L2 in June. I took the UBS deal and will be moving in December so after that closes I am going to retire the RipRock handle on here.

I think the material on L2 is more difficult, but the way the questions are worded and the presence of essays make L3 more difficult to pass.

I actually failed 6 out of 11 essays on the morning session, but did extremely well on the multiple choice afternoon session which is what allowed me to pass.

I've just committed to the June lvl 1 test.  So, I appreciate any help you all could give as well.  One thing I was hoping to find was an audio book/file of the material.  I listen to audiobooks while I workout/drive and was hoping to capitalize on that time for study.

I tried that but the data is so visual I found the audio books lacking.

Yeah.  Most people (67%) are visual learners.  I am an auditory learner, so it actually worked better for me to listen to them.

I always wanted to do the CFA, but with my outlook on the industry, it serves no purpose for me. I won't relocate to a city to work at an investment bank, private equity, etc., and the CFA do much for me when I'm originating mortgages in 15 years, so why bother.

But still awesome that you guys have it / are getting it.
My posts are for abrasive entertainment only. Nothing posted is investment, legal, tax or any type of advice, nor is anything mentioned true or even based on real events. Posts are complete fiction.

OK guys - after moving firms in early 2016 it put Level 2 on hold and I didn't study/sit for the test. Just bought the Wiley CFA L2 Platinum package and will be giving it an honest go in June. Welcome to no life whatsoever for 5 months.

If anyone is on L2 or sitting for the exam PM me,

If anyone has advice on L2 PM me,

Writing L1 in June of next year. Through all the sections and just focusing on practice questions now but Stats, Econ, FRA and quant are seriously kicking my ass. This effer is hard and the amount of info you need to learn is ridiculous. Tons of respect for anyone that passed any of the levels.

Yes! Most of them look the same. I prefer ones with longer hair so they don't look like a boy. Many had glasses (indicating nerdy Asian chick), which I am not into.

It was winter when I took the exam 1 so unfortunately they were all bundled up. I sat by some hot ones before I went into the exam. They were not speaking English so they were Hella Asian.

I was imaging one of them on her knees saying to me "Oh you rike dat?!?!"

I actually also passed all three levels, but haven't filled my work experience yet. I wouldn't mind some info on how that process goes.
Do you feel that having the CFA after your name has helped as an advisor?
