I just recently did this with a client.  First and last time.  I scheduled it plenty in advance to get his dumbass out of there before my kids got home but he stayed two hours. Hard to run them off at your house. He’s dropping F-bombs 20 feet from where my kids are doing homework and my oldest is making sure not to miss one

wait what.......dude....unless this was in the garage sucking down beers while watching hockey type of "appointment" fire the fucker......ohhhh sorry give it to some poor newbie that will provide better Human Centered Complete Wealth Management(TM) to them.

It’s amazing the whore I’ll turn into for the right size client.  This guys a POS and wouldn’t have a penny if not for his Mother, but he pays about 15k/yr in fees. Worst part is he thinks we are friends

Why didn't he come to your office?

My office and my house are pretty far apart and a good chunk of my clients are near my house. In their defense, they really don’t have anywhere to meet me

Generally this. But, similar to bc, for 15k annual fees I’ll meet them in my master bathroom (no homo).

Shit, make it 25k and I'll meet them in my bathroom, full homo.

HoF!! LOL

In all honesty, if you don't need them (i.e. you've already "made it"), don't take them as a client regardless.

And fuck meeting in your home.

But you don't want them because if they are already this demanding and invasive of your time and privacy, it's only going to get worse.

They will be a nightmare down the road.

If you NEED it to survive, then you make the call.  But plan on ditching them to a call center as soon as you don't need it anymore.

I guess I am at the point where IDGAF anymore.

I make enough money. I am not here to kiss anyone's ass anymore to get they bizness.

A very successful FA once told me once you have made it... "Be prepared to SAY NO, A LOT"

"No" when someone with 8k wants to open a rollover IRA.

"No" when someone wants to meet with you at YOUR house.

"No" when someone wants to buy bitcoin or dumbass shitty penny stocks.

The thought of someone coming to my house for a meeting when i was in the business, makes me laugh.

Honestly, now that i'm not in business, everything makes me laugh. (Except Covid)
