Hello everyone, I am a new advisor, recently licensed and legit. I work for a Indy with Raymond James as the B/D. I have lurked for along time and have finally decided to make myself known. Thank all of you for the great info (and sarcasm) on this site.

BB- Welcome.
What kind of training do you get working for an RJ Indie? Big office? How many Advisors? How are they "bringing you along? Just curious?

We are a small office 100mil aum. I am the jr advisor to the owner. Not a big office so I get the full attention (good and bad) from the principal. I am just a licensed asset gatherer right now, but I have a few accounts so far. Basically, the boss has spent the last 18 years growing the business, and has now reached a critical mass and is office bound taking care of his clients. He wants to grow further, so he has brought me on.

Hello all. Currently a licensed banker at a bank (6,63 life & health). Thinking about moving up in a few months but not sure. Spent a couple years at a life insurance company, liked the selection of clientele better, more sofisticated but like the quantity of bank clients and the fact that they're handed to you. Have a few months to choose so just trying to figure it out.
