Hello Everyone

Greetings everyone! I am Series 7, L&H, P&C Licensed.  I am taking my 66 test on Thursday (fingers crossed on passing).  I am making a career change from pharmaceutical sales of 10yrs to this industry.  I am with a B/D that is fee based (I think), and not sure what a wire, or the other acronyms are.  I am very excited about this new move in my career, I look forward to learning more from the other members.  Thanks

Welcome aboard Hawk.  Do yourself a favor, and read basically everything on this forum (except for Technology, Legal, and the Water Cooler, can probably wait), especially stuff that's in the Lobby.

If they had you do these two, rather than the 65, more than likely you will be collecting commish.

Captive blows especially if it was something like Allstate in Houston and they stop writing HO policies.

This biz is 100 times harder than being a pharma rep but you can sure make a lot more money once you tough out the first year or so. Just call on CPAs the same way you called on docs and you could do well.

Good luck to you. Definitely reach out to your mentor and others early on. Without guidance and inspiration this job can be very tough road early on.

I was with Farmers and it Sucked and doing it on the side with my pharma gig.  Now I am independent and looking to make a giant step on the income side in the next few years of hard knocks
