Funny story that fits well here, tho it wasn’t funny at the time. So for the first two months of the year, I thought I was dying. I had non-stop bloodwork testing for everything imaginable, an ultrasound, referred out to all kinds of specialists; and my dickhead Doctor was referring me around with vague notes on my file for biliary cirrhosis and liver failure (life expectancy 7-16 years). I was caught up in the bullshit system. The rock bottom was spending a night thinking I had hepatitis. Wife was out of town and I’m sweating bullets. “How did I get an STD? She’ll think I cheated. Fuck, she doesn’t seem like the cheating type, but is she?”

So a week before all this hell, I had went to a dermatologist for a routine checkup and he noticed sun spots. They are common in the south and not a big deal. You usually rub selson blue on them and they go away. The dermatologist is literally on webmd looking up what to prescribe. I should have walked. So here’s what had happened. He gave me something orally that should have been given topically. FDA had warned about giving it orally for several years. It was a one dose deal and it was strong and in my system for a month and fucked up all these tests. Nothing was wrong.

Turning 40 and trying to be “proactive” screwed me. A young hot PA for the internist put it together looking at my charts in depth. Scary time and I’ll go back to my usual routine of not seeing doctors because I’m not ever sick

It's an uneven battleground. The advisor wouldn't want to get into a huge public shit fest and invite regulatory scrutiny. Whitecoat doesn't have that worry and thus has the higher ground.

What regulatory scrutiny? It not like his state is going to see what he wrote.

LOL. All it would take is one or two competitors to show the state. I'm not saying he did anything wrong in this case, but if it turned into an all out war they could scrutinize the shit out of any claims made.
